What are the two tubes on the top front of the Mukini carb on the left and right side of the diaphragm body? What do they connect to and what are their function?

 

I have a 2004 polaris 330 magnum it has a brand new carberator on it and runs high-quality however as soon as i put the air container lid on it shuts off. I can get it to idle with the air container lid on but it idles certainly high when it warms up. Any recommendations?
