Harbor Freight Fold up 4x8 Trailers: WARNING!

12" 4 lug radials?
Hey, do you recall where you saw those 4 lug radials?
The only way I've read of is to replace the hub for a 5 lug version, which I'd rather not do, what with my trailer being so new.
I've only been able to ever find the regular and very cheap, admittedly 12" tires.
Rob.

I've had no problems with any of my 3 HF trailers. The one I use most hauls my quad and motorcycle from Oregon to southern Arizona and back every year. The 8" and 12" trailer tires are lousy but you can replace the 12" with a car steel belted radial which will last many years.

I used the existing 12" HF rims and bought radial tires from Ebay. Nankang 155/80-12. See if this link works. 1 NEW 155/80-12 NANKANG CX-668 80R R12 TIRE | eBay

Radial truck or car tires are the way to go. My boss pointed out to me after i had got new trailer tires that trailer tires have 1/2 the tread or a trailer tire at 2x the price. Have had my trailer for 3 years and next year it will be due for tires. He has had his boat trailer for 8 plus years with radial tires on it and they are showing little signs of wear..

Its funny I just saw one of those for sale on one of my local facebook pages. They were asking $650 for it with the new treated wood floor. I dislike how flimsy they look though. I hate those tiny tires, it seems they wouldn't be able to handle much weight. I'd rather buy a slightly larger trailer like a 5x10 with sides and a rear gate. Someone locally to me had one of those used for sale as well on one of the facebook trading pages. He was asking $950, I countered $650 and he said no but I think I could meet him in the middle at $800 if I really want it. They sell for around $1200 new.

yes, mine were 5.30's, I just couldn't remember exactly. Forget the load range, they did make my trailer noticeably taller. I was able to sell my 4.80's so I did get a little in return for upgrading.
