Trailer help

I currently have a sportsman 500 and trailboss, in the near future I plan on buying a 570 RZR. Which means I will have to purchase a new trailer. I like the idea of an enclosed trailer for security and storage reasons. My question is how hard is it to turn a atv inside a 8 1/2 foot trailer? Can just one guy do it with a atv jack? Will my 85" sportsman fit sideways in the trailer? Also how long of a trailer should I look for?

Thanks

Enclosed are nice but also pricey. If you want wide enough to turn sideways you would need 7-8 foot wide as most ATV's average 6-7 foot long (this takes into account the racks and maybe winch that stick out farther from the wheelbase). Guess it just depends on if you want the pain of trying to get one or all sideways.

I doubt you can rotate a 48" wide, 85" long ATV inside an 8.5 foot enclosed trailer. Mathmatically, the distance from corner to corner is around 98 inches, which you have to clear when you rotate the machine.

Trailboss shouldn't be too hard to turn on a smooth surface. But, I'm built like an overweight linebacker. If you can turn the Trailboss sideways you need about 8' for the RZR??? If so you can get by with a 12'x8.5'.

If you are young, no problem. As you get older it gets to be a chore. A couple suggestions for you. First, if you buy an enclosed car hauler, make damn sure you buy a 24 ft unit. Why? Because anything shorter will make it hard to sell down the road. Unless of course you are surrounded by landscapers. A car hauler needs 24 ft. Also if you can afford the upgrade, make sure you get one rated at 10000 lbs. For the same reasons.

Also it depends on the type of machine you are swinging. A sport model is a piece of cake, a 700 Grizzly is a whole different story.

inline enclosed

I have a 16x7 trails like a dream, fits 2 touring atvs. It is enclosed all aluminum, long term investment. 15 in tires, piece of mind. Also holds 3 sleds.

Sounds like a nice unit. I have a 19 ft sitting in the driveway myself. Had them add additional height in it too. (8ft inside) Hot and cold running water, compartments for 85 gal of water storage, dual propane tanks, gen cabinet etc. as well. I can get two inline no sweat. Maybe even a SxS and a quad as well. (For sale if anyone is interested)
