Default Ramp Storage on Trailer...

Hey guys,

I bought this cheap deck over 6'x8' trailer that my father-in-law and I use to haul both of our wheelers on. We side load them using some fold in half ramps. The ramps have a slight curve in them. I'm trying to figure out a way to mount/secure the ramps while in travel. I have been just putting them in my tow vehicle, but it would be nice to mount them somewhere on the trailer itself. Any ideas?

Weld up a couple brackets so the ramps slide in under the trailer on either side of the axle would be my suggestion. That way they are out of the way and easily locked up to prevent theft

The only thing I thought of so far is to put large bolts through the deck with wing nuts to hold them down. Or just strap them down with ratchet straps, but there are better ways.

lay the ramps along side the ATV on and tie them to the Machine.
For theft, park the truck on top off the ramps when your out riding. (Only works for steel ramps not aluminium)

If you can do some fab work. Mount a lockable diamond plate truck tool box over the tongue in front of the trailer deck.

I just slide my ramps under my quad. Being homemade, most people wouldn't want them. If you worry about such things then 3' of chain and a padlock will work.

well- I mounted mine between the wheel wells and the rack but that doesn't seem like an option for you.
I would weld a bracket on the sides where you could hang the ramps-

I did this too, when I was building my trailer. I built a slide-out rear ramp. (unfinished in the pics)
Then when I welded a new axle under it- turned out the bed sat 8" lower on the new axle and I was scraping the uneven road because the ramp was too low. I had to cut it all off
