2006 saturn vue red line(3500 pounds) for 6x12 enclosed
Whats everyones thoughts on pulling a 6x12 enclosed trailer with 2 sport quads with a 2006 Saturn vue red line that has a towing capacity of 3500?
I'll be pulling a Honda 400ex and a scrambler 400 so roughly 700 pounds in the trailer. Farthest I would pull it would be 12 hours, but mainly in the flat lands of Iowa around 1 hour.

Wife has a 2007 Vue,but never tried to tow anything with it. Saturn forum has a lot of posts on this.SaturnFans.com Forums - Powered by vBulletin If you have the Honda 3.5 V6 like ours, shouldn't have any trouble with power, but rear shocks on the standard Vue are kinda wimpy. I know the Red Line is a little beefier.

The numbers seem to match up ok. A trailer like that will probably weigh 2000lbs by itself. Add another 400lbs per machine and you should still be within max tow rating (assuming you have all equipment installed to get you to max tow rating). Keep in mind that max tow rating is generally based off just the driver. Any additional passengers and gear/cargo in the tow vehicle come right off the max rating.
I would check your hitch receiver for appropriate ratings too. There should be a a sticker or placard on the receiver itself that will show the ratings. You might need weight distribution bars to get you to 3500lbs.
I would also check you rear axle ratings. There should be a sticker on the inside driver side door sill that indicates the rating.
Is there a way to monitor trans temp on your dash cluster? I would keep an eye on that especially on longer tows. Do you have a tow/haul mode button? That will help you stay out of overdrive. If not, you may be able to turn overdrive off or shift into a lower gear manually.
You might also want to look into anti-sway bars if your trailer is taller than your Saturn. It will feel like you're towing bricks because of the added wind resistance. I'm assuming your trailer has brakes. I would not recommend towing that load with that tow vehicle without trailer brakes.
