Scared of my YZF250(wheelieing)
 

Hey guys and girls i'm having this problem wheelieing. It's weird because i can wheelie from 1st thur 5th on my 400ex and stay at bp forever(see my avatar). Once i get on my powerhouse though im scared. In 3rd gear i can just hit the gas and it goes right up, but im already doing like 40mph +/- a little and its scary on 1 wheel going that fast. In second im scared too because if i go that little bit 2 far im going down. Any help/suggestions?

I use to practice ( wearing extra padding, gloves , everything to keep from getting beat up too bad) on my yamaha 175, in a powerslide and lay it down keeping my legs clear of the chain and exaust . did the same thing with it comming straight over at 50 to 60 mph. Always tryed to land on my feet like I was sitting in a chair, legs bent.
After I did all that and repairing the bike alot it didn't scare me at all.. Did teach me the true meaning of respect when it comes to powerfull engines. When I get scared of anything I can make mistakes that can kill and don't really care to die yet.

Once you lay it down a few times you can almost do anything you put your mind to. Remember if you never get hurt on it you aren't riding hard enough.

Get used to using the rear brake....
then you can stab it when you're about to loop it....
