96 Ranger and 2013 Honda Foreman
 

I will be picking up my 2013 Honda Foreman from the dealership tomorrow and I am a little concerned about loading it into the bed of my 1996 Ford Ranger with the 6.5 foot bed. I realize I would have to drive up and over the wheel wells but how would the front or rear tires fit once on the other side? I am afraid of hitting the rear window. Any tips would be appreciated!

An old motorcycle/car tire up against the front of the bed should protect the rear glass.. Tail gate will probably have to be down for the rear tires.I wouldn't drive it over the wheel wells,but pull it over! Had one helper knock a rear glass out by trying this while the rest of us were busy in the shop.

I was thinking backing up the ramp would be better because the back has less over hang then the front with the front bumper.

Problem is slowing it down once you drive over the wheel wells! I'd push/pull or winch it over.Beating up the pick up bed or having to replace a new rear windshield isn't cheap.. Then invest in a good trailer to haul all your toys. Or do like this guy did :)

I am planning on getting a bigger truck soon so it would only be short term but a trailer will be in my future cause the truck I am planning on getting would still only fit 1 ATV and my wife will be getting one too.

bought my 1st ATV yesterday-Honda Foreman 500(so awesome!)
husband chose the Rancher & wouldn't you know they wouldn't both fit in our trailer. tool box in pick up bed meant no-go for the both. told him maybe he could go choose one even smaller...(ha!) got my Foreman this a.m. & spent some time getting accustomed & tearin' up the lawn real nice. looks like the armadillos went mad!

Cool! I only got 17 miles on mine so far but have many more coming up. Mudding doesn't put many miles on. My wife will be getting the Rancher once she is done with college.

I hauled a Foreman 450 in the bed of my Tacoma, no problem, but
it was pushed in, not driven. I could even close the tailgate. I would
post a photo, but still don't have permission.

If I didn't have the cover on I think I might be able to close the tailgate. It comes close as it is but I might end up taking off the cover anyway just because I don't like how it rubs when the ATV is in there and it is a new cover that I don't want to get messed up.
