what's the perfect utility quad....

I am still trying to find the perfect utility quad. I have a kodiak now and like the new 450's, which may be my pick.

But if you could only pick one utility quad for everything, work, play. etc.... what would it be and why?

I'd take a Arctic Cat 500 ACT Manual. They have good ground clearance, and suspension, as well as a good ride for trails. They are built heavier than most other brands, which helps for pulling and hauling big loads. I'd take the ACT rear end though, semi-independant straight axle for less maintenance and strength. They have little things, like a 4.75 gallon gas tank, and they'll go a long way. AC's are built for power and low end torque, they aren't meant to go 80 MPH. Just an all around tough bike, with a good price, I'd recommend them to anyone.

it would have to be one that repairs itself and never gets stuck. Also has perfect handling , Super highend power, and does all the tricks for me. Also it has to be able to pull at least 10,000 incase like my truck gets stuck or something.

I don't think the "perfect" utility exist yet. They keep getting alittle better.
Wish list-
400 to 500 cc's
selectable 2 to 4x4
400 lbs wet weight*
10" travel on shocks f & b
6' turning radius*
all disc brakes
full skids
reliable
75 mph top speed
granny gears
etc etc etc..

My 1959 Willy's Jeep was about as close as I'll get to a perfect 4x4.

There's no such thing as the perfect utility quad.

Sorry.

I haven't found anything I disliked about my prairie650 yet... Except that when I have to work I can't be riding it! I think the only downside to the p650 is that it has just a tad less ground clearance than some of the other utilities, and some value IRS. What the prairie gains in sportyness for those losses, is well worth it to me. First decide what type of riding you do primarily and what you want out of a quad, then it's easier to make the choice. There are a lot of sweet machines out there - prairie, grizzly, rincon, sportsman, etc, etc. You'll likely be happy with any of them.
