I cant comment about the bikes mentioned. I own a rubicon and it falls apart all the time. It blew the tranny and oil pump and water pump and tons more. . Do not buy a honda rubicon you will be spending tons of money to keep it running and tons of cash on the brakes. The rubicon has drum brakes and they fill with water then rust and freeze up. This all happenes in a short period of time and will have you wrenching all the time.

I'm going to go with the new Rhino (if you can call it a quad).

To me, a day in the woods is one hell of a lot more enjoyable when experienced with someone else's conversation and company, a cold beverage within arms reach, the stereo just the way you like it and any amount of gear you want to carry in a big box behind you.

The thing will trailer 1200#; you could conceivably build a jump seat off the back (for "puttering") and it will definitely do darn near everything that a standard atv can accomplish and more.

We ride all day and never enjoy the experience 'together'..........except for between eating/drinking, checking/fixing/arranging our gear and answering nature's call in the bush.

I think these new side by sides will make even the "hairy" spots that much more fun when laughed about together right after the incident happens ("Let me drive!, you nearly flipped us over back there!).

if i would have to buy a utility quad for pulling and working. it will be a traxter. I have mine for almost 3 year and the only problem that with it a lack of protection under the A-arms i busted a boot in the spring cost me 26$ CAD. i work all the time with my traxter i used it on the farm to pull wagins +/- 2 tons. I groom my trail in winter. i pull somme wood out too.sor stability is the best on off camber, up and down hill. My freind call the the crazy traxter guy. the visco lock is very good front diff. it as the biggist drive train on the market its shure heavy but you have more power to the ground. i saw in the post that some body bust an brake line now bomb put stainless brake lines. My neiber bought the sportman 600 and i dont like it. first i dont like the motor when it reving. ther's an lack of protection under and front radiator full expause to the brush. now the winch is too high when pulling it will force the front end down and back up, in the bud it will not pull the front end out the mud just draging trew the mud filling up the rad. bomb as the radiator place in the back. on the sportan you fill a lot of heat from the exaust on bomb it all hiden under the seat nothing is expause. to do servicing you just need to remove the seat, you have direct accest to the air box, brake oil, engine oil, oil filter, carb. The step trew desing is perfect if you're gona go up and down of the atv to hook your load.on mine i change the original tire for some 27"gators it made a big differents. so i itnk that you should get a traxter and look for the traxter XT you get winch and bigger bumpers hand gards.

Look into the Prarie 700 V-twin, or the Polaris Sportsman 700 Twin. But you don't need a quad that big, unless you really want all those cc's. My Moto-4 225cc can pull a 3500 pound trailer,(hi range in first gear.)

Bigger isn't always better. You will just have more weight to muscle around and you will be more tired at the end of the day.

My vote went to the Honda Foreman 450 ES.
