On almost every trail, at every puddle, there are tracks around the puddle. Maybe there are alot of people who have just washed their ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) and are scared to get it dirty. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

For those of us lacking airbox lids, avoiding deep mud/water is essential. Same with my racecut fenders. I realize this is the ute forum, but I am sure you share many trails with the sport riders also.

reconranger, you don't know what you're missing. While I do not have much sand experience, except what is in creek and river beds and nothing but BAD news usually, I believe mud to be a gift from god, not a punishment[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

With the ute I hit them, with the sport I dont. No sense in getting any wetter than I have to or making my racer too dirty.

I ride with a few of those people. Neither of which have belts[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] . Me...........I just nail the gas and dive right in. Whats the purpose of riding if you dont want to get dirty?

I'll tell you sometimes those puddles end up being a slow ride to china with there deceptive looks and there tantalizingly smooth surface. I kicked the habit and gave puddles up in 1998 when I joined puddles anonymous and have been puddle free except for a few slips when there is no other safe passage.

When I'm on my banshee I avoid them unless there is no way to get around them safely or if I know for a fact they are really shallow and I can roost a buddy really easily.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
