Not trying to go against what anyone else things but, I would say the Grizz would be a much better choice than the Kodiak. It has a LOT more power. The Kodiak isn't bad but the Grizzly is in a totally different category. I looked a LONG time before making my purchase and nothing fit like the Grizzly did. Of what you've narrowed it down to, the Grizzly is the best of the 3 (IMO).

Right you are. The first thing you should do is figure out how much money you want to spend and how big of a quad you need. After this the rest of us may be able to help you out a bit. Oh yeah, we also need to know what type of riding you do.

for 05 the kodiak gets IRS, alot of mags like it, they say its pretty sporty and pretty plush

Okay for that kind of money it looks like you're in the market for a 500cc class machine. Every magazine out there put the Vinson at #1 hands down. It won every shootout in it's class and it was so good they started putting it against the big 700s. Now you mentioned you wanted a soft ride so I think you may want an IRS machine instead of a SRA which the Vinson is so I would highly suggest the Yamaha Kodiak 450. IMO it's the best out there in the price range you mentioned.
