well the brute has everything the grizz does and the brute has alot more power..so if you mud alot and are going to put big tires on it go with the brute force

I would stick with the Grizz. It's a proven machine. Many Brute owners are reporting serious problems and have even been involved in crashes where they got hurt because of components failing. If you really want a Brute, I'd wait a couple of years until the bugs are worked out of them.

To further help you with your decision check out the High Lifter forum under the Kawi section http://www.highlifter.com/ubbthreads...page=4#1082864. There has been a recent post on there regarding some probs also.

Hey I was there, too,

BF has too many belt and tie rod issue's from what I've read in the Rags.
Grizz is a tough contender, but the 800 Sporstman now seems to be gaining some toughness, and where I am I found it for the same price as a grizzly, so as soon as I can afford it, I'm going to go with something I never thought I'd do as they seem to have really turned there product around.

Grizzley is a bad arse machine. The BF is to, but like these guys said its not as proven as the Grizz. I say go Grizzley.

Styling wise, I have to say I really like the looks of the Brute, Griz, and Sportsman. Good call on the Sportsman 800. I've heard good things about their reliability also.

Hey lucky for me I own both. A 2004 Grizz and a 2005 BF750. Both are really good machines. I have about 1000 miles on the Grizz with only a minor repair needed. The #1 thermal sending unit went out. 30 bucks and I was back in business. The BF only has 200 miles but no issues yet. They are totally different, yet equally good. Don't believe all the negative crap that goes around the internet. I could be perfectly happy with either one, but my Grizz was confiscated by my wife so I bought the BF to be different.

Curls,
The same thing happened to me. My wife claimed my Griz and I tried the BF but it just didn't feel right. I'm sure it would have been an awsome machine once I got used to it, but since I had no problems with the griz and it did everything I needed it to do plus, I bought another Griz. I couldn't be happier.
As soon as I get home I'll post some pics with the tracks on. I can't wait to hit the snowmobile trails this winter.

Both are great machines. I have had no problems what-so-ever with my BF750 and I ride through some nasty stuff on the deer lease........swamp bottom mud holes...etc. Here is my take:

Ground Clearance: Griz 11.8" vs BF 10.8".......advantage slightly to griz
Power: Hands down BF750........although the griz 660 has been a proven powerful machine.
Fast Handling: Toss up
Slow Handling: Toss up
Ride: Slight Edge to griz
Reliability: Toss up........although the griz has been around and proven itself

You can't go wrong with either.

Good comparison twinman. You're right, you won't be disapointed either way. I think the deciding factor comes down to what kind of deal you can get.

I see most of the BF owners have aftermarket tires. I've heard that makes the deciding factor on the handling. I just had a small test of the BF750 on a trail at the dealers and had a feeling of tipping on an off-camber. I just bought a Grizzly and took a very steep off-camber Saturday and didn't feel like I was going to tip. The ride on the Grizzly is like a Cadillac. I'm am unsure of the Bf's. The ultimate would be to put the Kawi motor with the Yamaha chassis and transmission. My Twin Peaks definetly packs more punch, so the BF will undoubtedly have an even greater hit.

If you were positive you wanted a Grizzly, for the same amount of money you can get a KingQuad with more power, better handling, better suspension, EFI, 3 independent headlights, sealed "clutch-type" rear disc brakes, etc.

nah, i took the kingquad for a ride before and i dont like it much. i mean, its a great quad and all, but ive always loved grizzly's and i finally had a chance to get one so i did. im really happy with the grizzly and i wouldnt exchange it for any other quad.
