Does anybody have one of these tools? Is it worth $80 to buy one from EPI? From the picture, it looks fairly simple. Anybody in Charlotte area have one I could rent?

Thanks

does the Kodiak have a roller secondary? I have never needed this tool and I used to take these things apart and put them back together 6 times a day by hand when I used to set up my SRX700 after any new mods.

kinda what I thought too. get the kit, then figure out how to install it. got a recall from Yamaha that needs to be done anyway, I guess I could have them do the clutch at same time. gotta be less than $80 + shipping.

Sorry this took me so long, but here is a list of what you would need to make this tool cheaply...
2 foot long 1/2" threaded rod
7 1/2" nuts
1 1/2" flat steel stock, mine is cut to 9" long
thats about all you need, and I mounted mine on the 2x4 for quickness, but you could use more steel for that if you want.
Cut the treaded rod in 3 parts, 1pc 12" and 2pcs at 6"
The outter holes are 2 11/16" center to center and try to center the middle hole as close as you can, but that one is not super importaint, close is good.
Put it all together like in my pics and you are set! its very adjustable with the lenth I have in the rods, but too much is better then not enough.
I don't have pics of it in use right now, but I am doing another clutch kit soon on my King so I will get more detailed pics then.
I have only used this tool on a yamaha clucth so far, but suzukis should be the same measurement, just make sure your outter holes are made so that you just barley hold down the spring cup and leave room around the nut so it can be turned when the spring is compressed.

Any questons let me know and I will help you out.
