Good tires?
Look on e-bay for the Super Grip tires. They have a tread very similar to the m/lite and you can get them for a good price. I have heard the sidewalls are less prone to tears than the m/lites, too. I only have around 300 miles on mine, but they have been through several places where guys had trouble with the lites. Good luck.

Good tires?
I went from the 24" Dirt Hooks to the Super Grips in a 25". I also went with the Super Grip wheels. I held them together and couldn't tell much of a difference, if any. I didn't put them on a scale. I would have if I had noticed much when picking them up. I didn't want a heavy tire on the Rancher. I'm a big guy and didn't want to lose any power I didn't have to. Your 650 will not even know the tires are there. I try to avoid the mud when I can. It's nice to know these tires do well enough for me and how I ride. I'm going over to Windrock in a couple of weeks and will probably put around 200 more miles on these. That will put me at around 500 on the set. Windrock has a lot of rock and ruts, with some nasty hillclimbs thrown in. It should be a good test.
