The Rincon will handle alot better than the others. It does not need low gear. The Rincon is a SPORT utility not work utility and will run circles around the others in handling. The KQ is a great ALL AROUND quad and is proven just as reliable as the Honda. The Rincon680 and KQ700 have the same top speed. The BF650 will beat both in power and speed. The 650 is a great motor and is also proven reliable. It will not handle as good but if you want power then the BF650. Yo cant go wrong with any of them. It all depends on what kind of riding you do. Awsome sport like handling for fast technical trails goes to the rincon. EFI, decent handling and good work horse is KQ. Mudding and all out power BF650.

May I ask why the Grizzly 700 isn't on your list? It just strikes me as odd that you would have the KQ700 on there, but not the Grizzly. Yes, I own one and I'm a fan of them, but I think the general consensus is that the new 700 Grizzly is a better all around machine than the KQ.

I like my 680 Rincon's ride and handling, and the way the transmission shifts. There really isn't any compression braking below about 10 mph, though, so you do have to expect to use the brakes on the really steep and technical stuff.
I've ridden a KQ a bit, and they are snappy and I think a good all round quad. The Brute Force will be more powerful (being a twin) and I understand the new ones handle better.
I think the 700 Griz would also be on my list, as the power steering would be nice and they have a reputation for reliability, but there was just something I liked about the Rincon more...
"Dont really like the looks of them" or it just doesn't call to you is a perfectly fine reason to decide you want something else.

I can't argue if you just don't like the looks of them but I am curious to know what kind of problems your buddies had.
