I've seen somewhere people have swapped a carb off a 04-08 dxv 400 into these quads. I am having nothing but problems out of mine. it's been rebuilt and cleaned multiple times. I've searched about info on these swaps but come up with limited info. Anybody have experience with this swap?

 

Why not just find out what size of carb and order a Mikuni off ebay.

 

I have a 2002 AC 400 AND A 2001 AC 500, both have Keihin CVK 34'S. Your carb looks like the one on my 400. Would think either would work, just need some re-jetting, maybe. The 500 uses a K38 pilot jet and around a K150 main jet. The 400 uses a K45 pilot and a K145 main. A 400 carb should work, just go fatter for main jet. I think a K40 pilot jet will actually work fine.

 

I habe an arctic cat 500 4x4 04 model. I had nothing but trouble with my carb. I talked to a friend who advised using a Honda carb. I got a new 420 carb for 140 bucks and it runs like a champ
