sounds like bad solenoid but replace and sounds the same, any help would be appreciated

Is voltage going to the starter from the solenoid? If the solenoid just clicks, but has power to the starter, possible a starter is bad. If the starter is turning over, then could be a worn starter clutch not engaging.https://www.yamahapartshouse.com/oem...starter-clutch

Thank you for your reply and suggestions.
Turns out that my battery charger/emergency starter isn't working properly. I jump it from my tractor and it started immediately. Thank you wwrafter |
Check that the battery is receiving around 14 volts from the regulator at an idle or a little above. If it's charging ok,you may need to have the battery load tested if it's getting weak not holding a full charge.
