I never heard of Hart Cart before so I did some looking online. The bad news is it sounds like they were complete pieces of crap. The good news is there are lots of parts available from the ones that broke and were parted out. Try the Classifieds, Garage Sale & Swap Shop part of the forum. If you can't find anything there check Craigslist. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Hart kart side by side 500 motor

Research CF Moto parts for an engine. I believe there is a distributor in Colorado. Hope this helps
