Default riding within 7hrs of Kansas City

Hey, I am looking for a good place to take a riding trip to. My parents actually want to take me and my sister somewhere. They want some place that is scenic, and has things to do other than ride. We only have time to go for about a 3 or 4 day weekend. I was looking at this place in Arkansas called Fort Smith twin city state park or some thing like that. It was right on the AR, OK border. It had tons of trails, and some dunes on the Arkansas River. any one been there or heard about it? I think we might go there soon. If any one has any other Ideas, that'd be great.

St. Joe State Park is within 7 hours from KC. There are 2000 acres of flat sand and hilly trails for off roading. There is camping and 2 clean swimming ponds with nice groomed beaches, bicycle trails, horseback riding, and hiking trails. It is about 1.25 hours from St. Louis...Six Flags, Cardinals ect. The Park is located very close to Parkhills, MO. Several nearby motels. There is a sand drag track 12 miles from St. Joe State Park in Bonne Terre, MO. Practice starts at 4 pm and racing begins at 7. Come down and swim, ride, camp or motel it, ect... then hit the drags. What else could you ask for? It's a worthy place to ride/relax.

I had read about that place and was considering it too, My parents make the decision so I have to work on them to take us. I think it sounds like aa lot of fun. and it's not to far from Kansas City.
