The kids and I go to Winchester several times a year (we have family there) and we have a blast even though we aren't the best riders - just don't get too reckless. Discovery Point has hookups for RVs and some cabins and trailers - you can ride from there onto the sand. Plus there are other campgrounds that you can ride out of (it's kind of a long ride though)

For all around riding fun, we like the Horsefalls area more - trails and dunes were fun. We stayed at the KOA, plus there are a couple of campgrounds.

Haven't ridden Florence yet.

Oh, and if you can get a yurt, do it. They are awesome! I have rented a few at Ft. Canby (non-riding trips) and they are great.
