OK I know I might start some controversy here but I'm sick of this crap.

U ppl with the utility quads If someone w/ a sport quad is behind you Please have the courtesy & presence of mind to know what the Hell is happening Behind you & move to the right when someone is trying to pass!!!! It's not to hard ppl...............

2nd This happen to a fellow quad rider 2 seasons ago & last year I ran in to 3 different groups 3 separate times.......

My bud was coming around a corner some beer-swilling Sob on a Uit is on the wrong side of the trail coming out of a corner, "Wack" yfz450 broken tie rod, and both riders thrown...
Both ok thank god, now I was not their but I could have MNRap post the details of what happen...

We ride the Clark Co trail system about 2 to 3 times a month when they are open, Today was opener for us & a 1st, To try out 2 new quads, @ about the end of the day & a ride of about 120 miles, we catch up to a group of ppl on Uti's, theirs about 6 to 8 ppl a few women & kid's, I have a band new kfx450 BigSled w/ a 660Raptor MNRap has a yfz450 w/ pipe K&N ect ect & is VERY LOAD... U know when we R Behind you... Now by Know means do I roost pass ppl... especially kid's & chick's (Well if ur in my group you might eat a little mud/sand now & then hehe) So I start to pass them 1 by 1, we get by the group & about 2miles down the trail we stop @ a T, Are quads right nex to each other. MNRap goes to take a piss, get's back on his quad, we bs for a min or 2 he fires up his quad, & say's O $hit, I look up & here come's a guy on a polaris 500 Uti, doing like 30 & just misses MNRap & myself, shooting the small gap that was between us, & RUN'S OVER, umm you know what they use to post a stop sigh, next was a 4in around tree & some brush.. & Ends up about 15yards in the woods, we were thinking that he had a problem w/ his throttle.. The guy gets tossed off & into a tree, gets up & heads toward me, foaming @ the mouth.. & Starts freaking out about that I spit rocks @ his wife & hurt her when we passed.. Now again by NO means did I try or mean to... (If I did you would know it) This guy starts call me this & that & pushes me wanting, to me witch looks like to fight..(Iam in full riding gear, he has an open face helmet on, I was like throw hehe) A few min's of BS go by & he saying wait till my buddies get here, I want your plate # call the dnr I want them here now bla, bla, bla, His wife shows up.. & 1 of his buddies & like I was saying, me & the sob were about to throw a few.. When MNRap start's to ask her if she was ok, which after asking about 4 or 5 times & see's what's going on, she's like ya you guys just scared me. So now that I'm off my quad & in this guys face I notice something........... Anyone want to guess what?????.

Now I'm all about having a good time but this $hit has to stop!!!!

Some of these groups of Uti's I see pulled over on the side of the trail & all w/ beers in their hand is just BS!!!! Their are Way 2 many ppl out on the trails to be drinking. Now I know that some of you will say, like the drunk SOB that "you guys are doing 90mph & to slow down" I have been riding since I was 9, & very capable of riding my machine to my ability SOBER..............

It's you drunk SOB'S on the wrong side of the trail in a turn that we have to watch out for.

As soon as his wife & buddy seen that we new he & both of them had been drinking they changed their tune...even to the point that the buddy was down on 1 knee apologizing Like 30x & the idiot that went in the trees was just about begging us to forget the whole thing..............

If I again run a crossed you _________<--insert WI dnr tag. (MNrap has that info. I will post later)
& Find your pathetic Butt on the trail with a wif of beer on U, I'm calling the cops myself & that goes for any of you other ppl that like to Drink & Ride I don't care if it's your wife/kids/mommy or whoever is around.....

This BS Has to stop!!!!

There is a time and place for everything.... Unfortunately is not when your behind the helm of a 400-700lb quad or any other bike -vehicle-machine.... .... DOH>>>>. So people sometimes just don't get it.... Till someone gets injured or worse..... If you want to party... go back to the camp and relax and call it a ride..... Nick

I agree 110% with you Butcher, these so called atv"ers are givin our sport a really bad rap and not to mention endangering themselves and us at the same time. If you want to drink while enjoying your recreation then take up golf or professional bikini watching!!! (sharing soapbox with Butcher!!)....also take your G>D trash out with you when your pickled liver arse leaves the woods or dunes!!! There are plenty of us that want this sport to last a while and we dont need any of you empty headed pez dispensers ruining it for the folks who abide by the rules!! Yeah...Im all for having a couple cold ones, but I would think that you have enough going on in your head riding that you wouldnt need to add alcohol to complicate your thinking further!!! .....Ok im done venting now...

Riding with you aint boring, ZButcheR, i should have gone with you guys this weekend. And I agree with you ..the drinking should start after the riding, and not during. Those trails have lots of visiters, and they all have cabin fever from being couped up all winter..and unfortunetly some cant have fun with out the alky. Too bad the fun stops for others, when it starts for them.

I'm not going to get into the drinking and driving debate, we all no it's wrong. I will get into the debate on the fact it seems like when you are on the trail everyone else is in your way. I've been riding dirt bikes, quads and sleds for 37 years. I don't give a damn if your Evil Knevil. You are going to fast it sounds like to me. it also sounds like your some sort of trail bully. "The Trail is mine, everyone else is in the way" Not all people that have a beer on the trail are drunken SOB's. Some guys take two or three beers for an all day ride which is acceptable. I'd much rather meet the Utility Quad driver with two beers under his belt going 30mph then meet you going 70mph with the false knowledge in your head that you are riding within your ability. I can tell you this if you were to come up behing our group of kids and wives and husbands on the trail, you would get the same treatment everyone else does. We would allow you to pass when you were noticed and when the trail allowed for such a manuever. There's a way of doing everthing and blowing by women and children at a high rate of speed spewing rocks and debris isn't one of them. Just my point of view .

Mixed drinks, huge rock pile, I still stare at the scars every freaking day. I was one of those utility idiots once. I know exaclty what your saying. Heck why not throw a cooler on the front and the back and just feed the beer to everyone you come in contact with make the whole trail even safer!!!!!!!!!!

I dont go anymore on the long rides with my atv group like I used to. Havent in 2 or 3 years now. For this exact reason.. Somewhere in the mix of things it went from enjoying our atv's .......to lets stop at every bridge and have beer. It got old.

Now to the flip side. Please dont be the person that says every one driving slower than you is a dumbazz, and everyone that drives faster than you is an idiot!!!!

And on a side note. its the sport guys also.. only differance, they have a buddy somewhere that has a utility with there cooler on it.. Been there. I rode with sport guys also... they used to call on the cell phone to see where we utilitys were at so they could "grab a beer"

I ride those trails, and I hope I never meet you. If you are in such a hurry that you have to pass, then you are going way to fast. Especially when there are kids around. I agree with the post about how many beers he had. I will have one or 2 drinks when I ride. I weigh 330 lbs and according to the official chart, I can have ... oh yeah that's right, I am so far off the scale, that the DMV won't even tell me how many drinks I can have and still be at that arbitrary legal limit that is set based on the person who's matabolism is the most effected by alcohol. If you are curious, I can have 6, that's right SIX, beers in a one hour period and still be under .08!

Please don't zip past my kids, because I will be sober and if I catch up to you, you might not get off so easily with an apology from someone who should have been reporting you for unsafe riding. It is those who speed over the trails trying to hit other riders that are the most dangerous and are making a bad name for the rest of us.

Tell me, what is the biggest complaint by those who don't ride? It is the noise. And you sound proud that you have a loud atv. You are in the wrong on every count here. Suck it up and find a private trail to play noisy speed demon on.

BTW: Grow up. You write like a 11 year old. Let's see, riding since you were 9, and that was 2 seasons ago. Sounds about right. Sorry for thinking you might have actually been an adult.
