Big horn mountains Wyoming

Hello,
Just got back from the Big horn mountains friday night after 6 days of riding.Put 430 miles on the 4-wheelers, 3 of the days we rode right out of the resort without having to trailer to a trailhead. Stayed at the Elk view inn (www.elkviewinn.com) A vey nice resort, fairly new, they have rental atvs, two up and side by sides. Printed the maps off there website and with a Big horn mountains ohv map had no trouble getting around. There is a $15.00 OHV sticker sold right at the resort. Most of the trails are well maintained and numbered. This is a beauiful area and I was inpressed. The only down side is that there is now cellphone service in the area and no landline at the resort, but they do have a satilite Phone. Glad to answer any questions. Paul.

i was there from last Wednesday till Sunday myself. I was bow hunting for mule deer. Got one friday night by the way, nice 5x5 right near Burgess junction,23" wide and 23" tall. Anyways, the trails are very nice and the mountain is beautiful. I have a short video on here but its put under the forum "family atving photos" titled,"riding in wyoming." Ive been working in Billings Mt. since june 26th and a friend of mine lives in Dayton Wyoming so ive been going there every weekend to hunt and ride. Ill be going home this weekend but we have a ride planned for the following weekend. My wife and daughter came out a few weeks ago also and we had a great time. lots of moose and elk as well as deer to see.

After reading both posts it sounds like a great place to ride. We have been to UTAH twice and rode the paiute trial system. Any idea how this compares. Also how difficult are the trails and is everything well marked. i hate getting lost!! Thanks for any help and responses. Four us try to go somewhere each summer. We live in Ohio.

Hello, I never been to Utah or I don't know what type of trails you like to ride but in the big horns there is all types from easy to difficult , we rode one day in the red grade area with more 50" trails with alot of low range crawling over rocks and narrow switchbacks up and down the mountain side only put 40 miles on that day. I have pictures on my computer if some could help me I would be glad to post some so you get an idea what the trails are like . The trail maps we printed off the elk view inn web site worked well, never got lost. Paul

Take and upload them to a picture site and post the link here! That is the easiest.

We are thinking of riding by Lovell, stay At WY High Country Lodge. How do the trails there compare to those by Elk View Inn? Thanks Rod from Iowa
