Top 5 Fall Rides

Check out our homepage article about the top 5 fall rides. What else should be on the list?

I think Jericho Mountain ATV Park would be a great place to see the foliage. It's in Berlin, NH and was cleared a few years back but the trees are back in with a vengence and right about now or maybe next week should be peak colors. In my mind nothing beats the variety of trees here in New England. Fall brings out red, orange, and yellow in the maple trees, deep red in the Oaks, yellow and orange in the birches and aspens. It's worth the trip.

Been a while since I've been back to the Ouachita forest area, but it is a really great place to ride. I think all the pictures were on film. :o

We have over 19 million acres of forest in Michigan so any trail you ride is going to be all trees. Except for the sand dunes at Silver Lake.

Glad to see the Ouachita National Forest, Wolf Pen Gap trail system make the list. A couple of things about your write up.

1: The trail system is not closed during deer-gun season. It is open year round. I personally rode the trails last year during the week of Thanksgiving.

2: Your mention of the "unique 2-foot tall oak tree" is misleading. It is not a tree that is two foot tall. It is a two-footed oak tree. A tree with two seperate trunks that have grown up into a single tree.

I've seen some weird looking trees but I never saw a two-footed oak tree before.
