Yea, chest waders are great. I was wearing a rain jacket, hood, and pants. That kept me completely dry & clean.... Except my boots, which got sucked off in mud. The chest waders are a lot easier to work with, and keep you drier/cleaner, as well as not sucking off your boots! Just need a good rain jacket for the top and your set!

Hey

I just got my flier so I thought I would come and see if there was anything posted about it. The discussions have begun...
I am going to try to get a group together from here--North of Dallas....(Long ride home without a bath)and see if we can make it...I have spoken with some people who are interested...Hope I don't have to work that weekend...Really bad timing on this..My parents/boss are going to vegas for that weekend so I may have to work for them and my wife is preg and is due the first of March...---oh yea,,, and the bath thing...
---
what are the contest for? I have never been to a mud run before...
I think I would be prepared--my 97 Scrambler has Mud Machines all the way around..

Hope to make it...keep my fingers crossed...

My flier I received has on it " no sport bikes"

does that mean that if my cousin comes and brings his banchee he can't ride it?
If someone knows the answer I would appreciate a response..Too long of a drive to take chance on not bein able to ride.

Our group is going as well. I can think of atleast 15 Polaris's, 10-12 Hondas, and several Yamahas that will be in our group. I'll be on a big red Grizzly with a lift and 27x12 vamps all the way around with a white cooler and two green sportsman boxes mounted on the back rack. My wife will be on a Yellow 450 ES, also lifted with 27x12 vamps on the back and 27x10's up front. She has a black Cajun Dri-Store box on the back rack. My buddy will also be on my Honda 300 4x4 with lift and vamps too. If you see us out there, be sure to identify yourself, so I can put some faces to your usernames. Can't wait!!!!!!!

Tell your cousin he can bring his banshee. We advertised no sport bikes to try to keep the number down. I hate to generalize, but an overwhelming majority of accidents we have encountered have been on sport bikes. The riders tend to ride in a way that makes them more suceptible to crashes and injury. We have so many people we have to watch that it was just easier to say no sport bikes would be allowed. I hope I answered your question.

We hope you can make it! A mud run is just a race through a course we set up. We have local dealerships donate prizes(winches, loading ramps, atv trailer, etc.) and we give away cash as well. The course this year will be a little different because of the lack of rain. It will be challenging enough for that scrambler though, don't worry.
