Wolf Pen Mena, AR
#1
Went to Mena, AR this last weekend and it wsa beautiful. I rode 200 miles on the Sportsman. Wolf Pen is CLOSED until Spring 2002 but there are alternate trails to ride. I will not go back until Wolf Pen is reopened.
Buy beer before you go! It is a dry county and Oklahoma (close by) only sells 3.2 beer.

We rode numerous trails and county roads and the riding was quite enjoyable. Wolf Pen is the main attraction and the park has been closed due to a hard ice storm that left downed trees over most of the trals. We never got the oportunity to ride Wolf Pen due to the trail being closed. Wolf Pen has a web site and the cabins are available for renting (great value). There are plenty of other places to ride...worth the trip. If you go, visit the BLUE HOLE.

There are some pics of the Albert Pike area and the Blue Hole including hot pics of the wife (lol). If you know where to go, there are trails south of Wolf Pen that are open and are just as good or better than Wolf Pen. If you have a group that wants to go, I will serve as you trail guide (when I am not lost). I am just about always up for a ride. Check out my post about Broken Bow... that should be a good ride too this weekend.
If you want to put your skills to the test, I will show you the Bear Creak Cycle trail aorund Lake Greeson. It is a little technical in some areas.
