Page 27 - Minnesota 2000-2001 Recreational Vehicles Regulations
"Under 12 May operate only on private property with permission of the owner."
Page 24 - law prohibits youth under the age of 16 years from operating adult sized ATVs on public lands and waters, including public roads and road right-of-ways.
This is confusing to you? Minnesota RV Regulations

This is why I have the problem with the DNR. The regs say one thing for this new year, but the laws say another. How many of our DNR officials know this law is in effect? The comment was made about the CO impounding my machine because I have a 12 yr old riding it, but there is nothing that they can do as long as the kids are certified for that machine.

Right - I'm in the same boat, 12 year old to big for her 90. The problem is the training. For years there was a requirement for dealers to provide youth training and they all refused - couldn't get insurance for it. Without the certification courses - you can't get certified. The state knew full well that they could let the geni out of the bottle to appease us, but no wishes would be granted.
Also - I appreciate that its 2002, but has anyone seen the 2002 regs? I went to the ATV shop last night and they havn't seen them either - still handing out the 2001.
