If all goes well, I should be making the trip up to Tower this coming sat. afternoon around 1PM. That should put me there around 3 or so. I dont care about being late, I dont have many hours to go yet untill I need to get my valves adj. for the first time on my raptor. I stopped by tower on my way home with my dad from New Milford this weekend (played paintball at EMR all weekend) and got the skinny on the whole deal. You can ride there ONE time only for a fee of $30 W/O a sponsor. If you like it, you can ONLY join THAT day. And you may put that 30 towards your $200 annual member fee. You do NOT need to be sponsored my a current member to become one. All you need to do is fill out an application. You DO need to be with a member if you do not join the club to ride, and must pay 30 each visit with a member. Anyone that wants to make the trip, let me know, you can email me at Dakota52318@toad.net OH MDKODIAK, I would still like to meet up with you, it would be fun to have someone else to ride with and show me some of the better tails, hope to hear from ya!

Dakota
Sorry for the miss-info about sponsership, I did not know they changed the rules for the first ride. I am keeping an eye on the weather and plan on being there sat and sunday. Stay in touch and we can hook-up.

another spot you MD riders might try is MICHAUX state forest up interstate 81 your registration is ok but now we all have to have liability insurance.I live in central PA between carlisle and Harrisburg. The michaux state forest ride area is about 10 miles off 81 at the newville rt 233 exit.,maybe you guys already know about it?it has about 30 miles of trails,It was closed for awhile this spring for turkey season but just opened up after the sat. memorial day weekend. If any of you guys want to goI could meet you there or tower city ,but I only have off mondays and tuesdays PM me or write me at fishman@itech,net for more info

Actually, MDKodiak, what you said is what their website says. But maybe they have relaxed it somewhat. Can you imagine driving all the way out there because you have heard about it and then being turned away because you don't know a member?

Thanks for the info Dakota318. I am also hoping to come soon but I don't know if it will be this week or next.

MD kodiak just remember your registration and insurance cardor they won't let you ride, but sometimes the rangers don't check. Is tower city really crowded they list on their site over 2000 members, just wondering if it gets too full to the point of being dangerous ,with collisions etc. want to take my son up there on his sportsman 90 but don't want him to get run over if I take out on the trails,so we both could ride,as opposed to keeping him in the kids area. But maybe having Mondays and tuesdays off will work in my favor

Cowsaki: If you post on their web site you can usually find someone to hook-up with. And now that the first ride does not require sponsership as Dakota said it makes it easier to check the place out.

Sportfish: It gets a little crowded at times but never that bad, and since they are trying to promote a family image most people are aware of the fact there are kids there. Once you get out on the trails away from the parking and camping areas things really thin out. If you can get there on a weekday you will find it practically deserted.
