thickest mud I've ever encountered

https://i120.photobucket.com/albums/...0/IMG_0380.jpg I've gone thru way deeper stuff than this, but nothing this thick ever. I wouldn't even call it mud, it acted more like cement or liquid rock. once the frame touched the surface, there was no rocking or moving this thing what so ever. I thought i might end up breaking the steering system just from trying to winch it out. you could grab a clump of this mud, pack it like a snowball, and throw it without it falling apart. it looked like just moist dirt at first, but then it started to sink and I thought there's got to be a bottom, but nope, it was too late. tryed spinning the tires to clear out the mud, but it wouldn't detacth from the tire |

WE have alot of that here in Newfoundland....tangly stuff to get out of...plus there is very little traction as bog is slimy as opposed to mud which has a grit to it.

Was that picture taken in my back yard??? I wish I had my camera on the 4th. Decided to take a quick spin out into the "dried" up swamp in my back yard. Well.... a change of clothes before the guests arrived and some small begging once my friends got there and I was able to have my friends help pull it out. Did that mud stink as bad as the stuff in my swamp???

that looks like some thick stuff! I have gone through crap like that too. Once the tires get coated, you cant really do anything except try to rock it all around.

Yep, got a truck stuck in that nice, not too wet, not too dry, soily mud. Took a backhoe to get it out. We have that and clay mud that does the same thing. Not thick enough to skip across not wet enough to get to the bottom and get some traction.

I went into it the other night.............got stuck less then 10 feet in Dropped into 4low and hosed on it to get out......... was very luck to have not gotten stuck. |
