Default easter ride

Was out riding today and came across this poor soul. He said it was there first time on these trails as they were from out of town. I forgot to take a pic until after we had him almost out but if you look closely at the mud you can see where he was. About three feet deep. Could'nt even see his lights. Took two quads on one side and me winching off a tree with a ****** block from the other side. I decide to be a nice guy and tell them the where's and where nots to ride this time of year.

Always a good thing to do. I think of it as the boater in distress type thing.

yep it is. The whole area (about a 150 acres) where this photo was taken is basically a wet stinky bog 8 months of the year. There"s a lake not more than 100' from that spot. You can feel the ground shake if you jump hard enough. I ride this area on a constant basis and you have to know where your at and be a little more selective about where you go in the spring and fall. Even in the winter with single digits there can be places where the ground just won't completely freeze. My brother-n-law found that out the hard way this last winter. HE HE HE!

Just winching this guy you still counldn't pull him out? How big was the winch? I don't have much experience with winching in the mud. So that is why I am asking thx

The pics I took were from after we got him out. The front end of his sportsman was up to headlights and the rear tires were just under to where you could'nt see them. I was hooked on to him with my sportsman/with 2500# warn and the other two guys were hooked up with ****** straps pulling him. When you get into this kind of mud there is no solid bottom and it acts like a suction cup once your in deep.
