tire spacer question
my 450 rhino is stock.where we ride it is a lot of off camber trails.. i fear that i am going to roll.. i was thinking about tire spacers to increase my stability. i was reading that they will. what do you guys think?
and 1. how wide in the front and how wide in the back? 2. where is the hot spot to buy them they range from 55.00 per side to 125.00 per side: i did a search and they did not talk about stability |
tire spacer question
yes they will help with stability. I really don't think that there is much of a difference in quality< I believe that they are all billit rite around 2 inch.

tire spacer question
I personally wouldn't go wider than a 1" spacer in front, because of increased bump steer with wider widths. Either a 1.5" or 2" spacer in back is going to be fine.

I agree w/DesertViper.
or instead of spending $ on the spacers for almost the same cost you can get new wheels w/reverse off-set on the rears. you'll have done virtually the same thing and you'll also have your choice of some nice wheels... |
tire spacer question
Wider does help stabilize. I have 1" billet alum spacers on mine all the way around and it helps. I didn't go too wide as like to jump it and wanted it stronger, and as mentioned keep away from bump steer issues. Be sure to keep the rear narower than the front or it will push...
