My Review of the 09/700 Rhino

Ok so I traded in my 09/550 Grizzly EPS/FI for a new 09/700 Rhino.
So far I have 600kms on it. Here is my opinion on the machine so far.

+'s Ride quality is good.
Power is acceptable
Quality is fine
Easy to work on. (oil Change etc..)
Nice to look at

-'s Very Loud
Stock tires are garbage (2 flats)
Gas Milage is dissappointing (120kms Per Tank)
Did I mention, Very Loud?????

Anyway the machine has performed well. It can go most anywhere and do it in comfort. As you can see from the above observations, the engine noise could be a real issue, especially if you do not wear a helmet.

Further updates to come.

Jim

Good review

My 08 with the 450 is also very loud. I've been told that once it breaks in, that it will quite down, but we will see.

Love every thing about the Rhino, except the noise, which I will address this spring. The ride performed very well, and took me home each day of hunting season.Loading deer is easy as it gets.I put a boat winch in the center of the headrest, and tilt the bed, wrap the belt(from the winch)around the deer's head, and wind him in....good as it gets!

Picked up a 09 Rhino Sport edition about 6mo ago and have been very happy with it. THe upgraded shocks and tires on the SPort model are worth the $$ over the base model. Just put a little over 50 miles on it a couple of weeks ago. Some very tough rocky trails all the way up to 8300ft elevation and the EFI worked great. My only complaint is the squeaky brakes. THey make a lot of noise at low speed even if the brakes are not applied. I have read lots of other complaints about it and there is no perfmanent fix from Yamaha. Some have used WD40 on the pads/rotors with success.

You guys are retarded, if you so concerned about a little noise while driving a Utility Terrain Vehicle (key word: Utility) stop complaining and go buy a jeep.

You obviously don't hunt... These things are market towards hunters and that is what ours is used for 80% of the time. Its not so much that the noise bothers me but the little critters I am trying to put a hole through dont much care for it. Get it?

None of the other UTV's I have driven are as noisy as the Rhino.

It is the no. 1 reason I will not buy one and I don't hunt. I just don't want to hear it.
