Banshee or Raptor

Right now I have a Raptor and I am thinking about getting rid of it to get a Banshee. I ride 95% sand dune, and the other time is in the woods or a track. I am looking for suggestion's!

i would get rid of the raptor and get a banshee cause all around every buddy knows that they have the best acceleration on the market for stoc and they have great after market mods

Everyone should experience the Banshee rush at some time in life. They are really fun bikes in the sand. Stock they can keep up and with some pipes and an airfilter they rock! You'll never run out of ways to make more power... It gets just flat silly how fast a banshee can be.

no doubt, raptor is better for dunes / trails....ive ridden both and i liked mine alot better in dunes / trails....but its your choice, although IMO it is very stupid to sell something that is better for those areas...

You could sell your rappy and get like a 2000-2001 shee with pipes filter.... for 3500-4300. She's are the ABSOLUTE KINGS f the dunes. I got to thinking though, doen't Oregon have a 93db sound limit in the dunes?? The only shee that could pass that is stock or spend the cash to get some toomeys w/ the hush kit. The thrill of the shee in the dunes is worth the hassle (I don't have any trouble) in the trails.

Hush kit? I just have t5s w/silencers and there queit enough. Hust kits would make the shees a lil more the 70db. I think most aftermarket pipes would pass 93db unless there cpi pipes. And about the shee. It's probably the best dune machine outthere. And with some cash in your pocket you could smoke just about anything. Raptors do good in sand and great in trails. But if you ride 95% dunes i'd go with the banshee. You can get a good 96-99 shee for >3500 of atvtraderonline.com or ebay. If it was me i'd save for a shee and keep both shee for dunes raptor for trails. And yamaha4evr you'd have to have a pretty mean raptor to beat a banshee at the dunes. Alot have 10000+ invested and i wouldn't bet and ol raptor could beat it. They have to mod it like hell. I'm not saying raptors are bad bikes. Most just can't match shees on the dunes. jmo

If your doing 95% Dunes, get the Banshee. It is much better in the dunes. I have both and only ride in the sand. I much prefer the Banshee in the dunes. Especially on steep really loose sandy hillsides (like in Oregon). The wheel-spin of a two stroke will get you up and out of most loose sand situations.
