Big Difference Between 21-12-8 and 22-12-8 Haulers?

I am hopefully going to order some new eXtreme Haulers before Sandfest (we are leaving this coming Friday) and in Rocky Mountain they have the extremes in 21-12-8 but not 22-12-8 or any 22's for that matter. I am running the stock gearing right now but will probably switch to a 12 tooth front soon. I have a stock swingarm and still have my footguards on. Will I see a noticeable gain with the 22's over the 21's? Thanks for any info!

They sell the regular Hauler's in a 22x11x8. I doubt the Extreme's are really needed unless your riding area has lots of under-sand obstacles. The only advantage I could see from the change is a taller tire has more growth.

You definately want the extremes, they work much better for higher horsepower and the paddles are alot stiffer. I doubt you would notice the difference between the 22 and 21, I just switched from 22-11-10 to 21-12-8, height difference is probably half an inch about 4% definately not enough off that you would notice any major topend lose especially on sand. Just my opinion.

By the way if you wanted to go 22-11-10 extreme give Jim's sand toys in Waynoka a call he usually has them in stock at least he did when I got mine. I got my 21-12-8 extremes from Rocky mountain.

I think I will get the 21-12-8 Extreme Hauler 8 paddle. Do you think it is necessary to get the .160's or .190's or would I be ok with .125's.?
Thanks.

I just picked up what you're planning on purchasing w/ the .125 al. I'm only gonna use them for going up the hill. They're quite thin. I'm keeping my .160s for general dunning. I'd suggest at least the .160 or if you really want to be "safe" the .190s. It won't take much to tweak one of those .125s.

I run .125 with no problems, mostly dune and drag race and very very small barely getting air jumps and have had no problems.

the only thing that i would suggest is to go with a ten paddle in the regular hauler as opposed to a eight paddle because looking at the mods you have you should pull them with no problems.you will have some people tell you that the tens will slow you down but i can tell you from experience that the top end speed you lose from resistance will be very marginal.the one place where the ten paddles really shine is in drag racing holeshots, they make a very big difference.as far as the 21 inch vs the 22 inch i dont think you would notice enough of a difference to matter. i would switch to the 12 tooth front sprocket as it will help for duning also.

I think I will get the 8 paddles so I won't have it over-paddled off the nitrous. I can get them mounted on .160's for $216.99 from Rocky Mountain ATV, does this sound like a good price? Hopefully I will order them tommorow.
