The GYTR Piston (pin area) gave way and created all this damage?
I agree about the crank. If the rod bent, the lower bearing is probably stressed. At least seperate and replace that bearing while putting in the new rod. But ya might as well put the YZ crank in if your going to do all that.
Is GYTR Yamaha? Or a subsidiary of or a whole different company?

Notice how shallow the piston is, how besides the skirts front and rear, how thin it is from top to bottom. Just enough piston there to mount rings on. They sure build them light for the quick rev ability. I have to wonder how the cylinder wall holds up over time when 50% of it has such little surface pushing against it as opposed to the typical piston with deeper dimensions all around.

The JE piston in my Raptor is the same way, well, similar, the skirts go farther around than the GYTR does. With more of the area inside the skirts taken out to lighten it up more.
If GYTR is Yamaha, this is obviously due to the piston falling apart and they had better stand behind it. They made it for that bike.
Let us know how it goes.
