Default How do I remove the back up override on 2002 Grizzly

I have a 05' grizzly. It has an override button on the left handlebar, but the override switch does nothing. I have tried it several times .. AND NEEDED IT TO OVERRIDE, but it wouldn't do shehot. I'm curious to know what I can do to MAKE it work. If it did work -- I wouldn't care about having any buttons to override it full time... just when I need it. I'm wondering if something may be wrong with my bike since it still spits and sputters if you give it too much throttle while in reverse with (or without) the OVR button pressed.

It is not often that I have to back up.... since I keep it going forward as long and as hard as I can, (he hee - Full BLAST FORWARD) but when I do -- that skipping and sputtering annoys the hell out of me.

Any input would be Dearly appreciated.
