I never should have bought it in the first place. I only have 30 hours on it and I just can't deal with it's shortcomings...

1. It's way too narrow. In fact I will only ride it on mountain bike trails where the trees are close enough to hold me up if I tip it.

2. The ground clearance is unacceptable. Since Yamaha specified clearance at the engine, I saw no problem in challenging my friend with a lifted CJ to a rock hopping competition. He spanked me.

3. Gas mileage. With gas prices here in Detroit currently at 2.10, this just can't be my daily commuting vehicle any longer.

4. This aftermarket support BITES! Doesn't ANYONE make mods for this thing?! What are they waiting on? I can't even find pre-mix for it!

For these reasons, I have concluded the Raptor is not right for me. I hope I have spared some of you the hassle of putting money down on one and being dissappointed.

Anyway, thanks to all of you who provided the valuable speculation on the new Raptor. I should have listened.

Well, fakie99, I hope you learned YOUR lesson! You can't put anything over on these clever ATV Connection Forum readers! NOTHING gets by them!

I know. I've tried myself; and, like you, I failed also.
