XCT or MX ITP holeshots for my yfz?
The mx's are 4-ply and are softer rubber, and usually the mx type have better traction but can wear almost twice as fast depending on what tire. The xct's are 6-ply so they will be tougher and won't wear as quick but they won't have all the traction of the mx's. Travis, you are correct, the mx tires are narrower and shorter. I remember some mag doing a tire test and when they put the 20 inch xc's next to the 20 inch mx's, the mx's were like an inch shorter. I also think the lugs arent quite as deep on the mx's as on the xct's. Unless you spend all your time on an mx track, I would go with the xct's.

i have XCTs, 22 on the raptorand XCR, 20s on the blaster.
the XCTs wear like iron and grip well, i'm happy. rough terrain here, got tired of the flats on those stock dunlops. plus they have unpredictable grip where a stiffer sidewall is more stable in a turn or slide - you what the rear is gonna do, and it wont be hook up at the wrong moment like those dunlops.
the XCRs work fine as well...the blaster comes with those balloon tires...the ITPs are awesome by comparison.
the MXs i dont know, but i'll bet they are softer..
vists the itp website and find out whats up!
or grab a rockymountainatv, chaparral or dennis kirk catalog - ITPs should be explained in each of them.
