ALL BANSHEE GUYS LOOK!!!!
#11
On my 33 PWK's I shaved the outside of the carb springs on a bench grinder. It definitely lightened the push. I have to remember that if the slide sticks or springs break (which neither has happened to this day), then I will have to hit the kill switch or pull the tether. I think I also worked on the inside of the springs with my dremel tool.
I only did this because I had to do something to lighten it. And for me, a twist throttle was out of the question. So, I called Sudco and they told me that there were not any other carb springs that I could interchange to achieve the lighter pull.
Aside from your question, I would recommend you keep an extra needle clip or two in the tool box. I drove all day to Little Sahara and after 5-10 minutes of riding one of my needle clips broke. I guess the high spring tension combined with me chopping the throttle finally caused it to break.
Good luck,
Daren
