e-brake switch

Can someone help on this topic.

I have a 98 Wolverine. When the e-brake is set and keeps the engine from revving how can I bypass this because it is starting to get worn out in the clip and when on the trails it comes loose and starts spurtting. Will this also work on the Raptor to.

I have seen this posted before but cannot find it. Thanks

According to the factory manual for a 2003 wolverine, the parking brake switch is the one that has a Green/Yellow wire going to it. If this wire is taken to ground, it activiates the rev. limiter and the parking light. Now, If you disconnect this switch, I believe your problems will be over.

Please let me know if this actually does in fact work. I'd like to file it away for future reference.

As for the raptors, I do not. know.

If anyone has any specifics on this, or photos, that would be great, as I'm interested in doing this mod also. BTW Roach, thanks for the deal on the wheels!!

The switch in question is actually on the front left brake lever. It is tucked in tight against the handlebars and can be seen if standing over the bars. Two black wires will be coming out of this switch, which in turn mate up to a connector in which the Green/Yellow wire comes from. Unplugging this should break the circuit required to activate the rev-limiter.

It is possible that my thinking is bass-ackwards and the circuit needs to be maintained for the rev-limiter to be de-activated. If this is the case, on can simply short across the terminals in the plug and effectively simulate a satisfied switch.

Keep me posted.

Ride On.
