grizzly don't start when its cold

I have a 02 grizzly and if the temp gets below 25 it takes about 15 minutes to get it started. Do all of the grizzly's do this or is it just mine. A buddy just bought a suzuki vinson and at 10 degrees it starts right up. I know one thing, the grizzly has a damn good starter because its lasted winters and it still works after all the abuse it gets. does anyone have any suggestions for this problem.

Four stroke yamaha's are known to be cold-blooded, but your's should start right up. Your choke is not working correctly. I have a kodiak and even at 15F I only have to set the choke half way. Hope this helps.

I believe your grizzly has an enrichener, instead of a choke. If it had a choke, it would start better. Some things to check
Clogged starter jet, or passage.
Air leak.
Improperly working enrichener plunger.
old gas.
Spark plug gap too big.
Try to richen up the idle mixture screw, as the temps drop the the mixture will lean out.

Clean the plug and unscrew the gas cap

i replaced the enricher plunger about a month ago because the plastic nut that holds the spring and plunger in the carb was broke. I had to order the plunger, spring, and nut all as one unit. after i replaced it, i saw no difference. I did have to adjust the enrichener cable a little because even after the engine was warmed up, you could choke it all the way and it would still run. Now it stalls instintly when choked all the way so i think it is working properly. I'm wandering if the carburator is gummed up. I ride often, so i don't know why it would be but i guess you never know. Other than the starting problem, i really like it but it is kind of a pain in the ass when I can't take it ice fishing on cold days.

Id recheck the adjustment on the enrichener. It should not die instantly when pulling it all the way. It should run at a little bit of a fast idle when pulled all on.Have you got a factory shop manual ?
Another thought... do you use the ethenal blended gas? Try using only pure gas, It can be really hard to find n MN in the winter. The blended gas doesnt have the btu content of real gas, and makes cold weather starting harder to do.

What did you find? were the intakes or exaust out of spec.
It always feels good when you can fix your own.
