Before you get to excited, Those raptor's you see beating YFZ's are from stock. I can promise you one thing, Your going to need more than a WB R4 silencer & a GYTR foam filter w/ 14min adaptor to even come close to this YFZ. I've never heard of a drag strip long enough for a piped Raptor to catch me.

250r4life,
What if I switch to my high speed hand grips. Then there's no way your puney little 450 could keep up to the mighty 660.

Well, since my videos were brought into this topic.

I'm sure I'll have a chance to get more YFZ's in action this New Years at Dumont. A piped Raptor with equal weight rider and a stock YFZ will be a fairly close race. If I could ever get these YFZ owners to be honest about what they've done then I could tell you for sure that a cam mod/piped/jetted/no lid YFZ, isn't but a bike or so behind my Raptor with my 250lb azz on it up these hills. There have been many other YFZ's that have spanked my azz at the hills and at Pismo's flat drags, mostly Pismo.

Some of the ones in the videos at Dumont, the white one beating the DS had a fairly young kid on it and the DS was a stage 3. DumontRaptors win over the white YFZ, the Raptor is a stock bore, pistoned, cammed and I believe ported bike and Dumont Raptor might weigh 150lbs.

I think thats the only video I have of YFZ's losing. All the ones at Pismo the YFZ's were much faster and some were on Alcohol. Oh, by the way, the white YFZ's are the fastest.

I just got through rejetting a YFZ450 with a GYTR slip on and OMG that thing can run. I didn't race anything on it but I know it would beaten any piped and jetted Raptor.

45 pilots, 165 mains, 2 1/4 turns on the air screws, 5 clip position on the GYTR needle

wshrdskin,
Thanks for the videos and word on who's running what. I don't get a lot done at work once I start watching.
I think the white ones are faster because the white plastic reflects heat better keeping the plastic cooler and allowing air to flow across it more aerodynamically. I could be wrong.

I can tell you that the 450 is faster, even in top end. I was at the dunes yesterday with my 03 LE Raptor with a Yosh exhaust and jet kit, my brother has 450 with a Yosh exhaust and jet kit. We also weigh about the same and both run Sand Skate II's. The 450 smoked me every time, no matter how far we went. That thing rips.
The 450 would scream out of some holes that my Raptor would just barely crawl out of. It revs so much fsster than the Rap.
I think the Raptor rides alot better, the 450's seat is hard, the shocks stiff, and the ergos don't seem quite right. But that engine may be enough for me to get one soon.
