does anyone know what I can do about all of the freakin pop up adds?
I downloaded adaware and run it most every day
but after about 5 minutes of surfing, they start back up........

Try this "http://toolbar.google.com/" it seems to work good for me.

 

My girls computer gets those damn pop up's all the time. But mine never has them. Don't know what to tell ya.

 

i have Windows 98 on my PC and i downloaded ATGUARD off of Kazaa Media and it works pretty good. I only get the ones that are associated with the webpage, but sometimes don't even get those ones. good luck.

 

Yeah i get alot of pop ups to. It sucks any one have any ideas.

Netscape 7.1 has great pop-up stopage capabilities - download it from Netscape.com and then it will ask if you want to change your pop-up preferences the first time you get one. Set the preferences as you like then you can add sites to a list of ones you need to get pop-ups from (ex. I need a pop-up to compose an email so I allow all pop-ups from tulane.edu)
