The ball joints are TRW automotive ball joints that are pressed in and tack welded for safety. So yes they are replaceable. Neil at ATV Racing said that I should never haveto replace them are even grease them for that matter, but you can grease them by using a needle attatchment and forcing grease in betweent the boot and the stud. We can revalve, it you absolutely need it and send it in the owner usually puts priority on that and turns em around that week. Later.

I got the shocks at cost since I work at a shop that is a dealer. I think we sell the duals with rez for like 440 or so.

Thanks for the info. It helps me narrow it down a little.

At shocconnection, they have works.. but I don't think they have the resiviors for like 280. Also, I don't know if they are dual's or triples's. The Works Rear Ultracross' run from around 340 to 650. I think they would do great for my style of riding. And, besides that, they are fully rebuildable. If you are wondering, they have a website.. www.shocconnection.com they have the lonestar axle for around 280. Their Roll Design a's run 650 for everything.. I really would like that, but they are probably on back order. Well, maybe by the time I get the money, they'll be in stock! later,

Get pep shocks they'll last much longer. The works shocks are only supposed to last a year and they need to be rebuilt and have new bushings put in every yr. If you're going to spend the money go with something that'll last.

Hate to break it to ya man, but all shocks should be serviced every year regardless of brand. Oil is oil, and it will break down. The only shock that I know of that has a long interval is the Ohlins, they can go quite a while. It's just like your car, you want fresh oil in there because the contaminated oil can only last so long. Yeah, the PEP shocks cost more, but for average Joe rider they are not necessary. Why spend twice the money if you don't haveto? Later.

the works shocks are only supposed to last a year?! the oil, maybe, but bushings, etc??!

you should stop getting atv advice from the other kids on the playground. they really can't be relied upon for a very educated answer....

I was looking in an old dirt wheels for Works. Last Rebel has Fr. Dual rate w/ resv. for 398. But, they have Fr. Triple Rate without resv. for 298. Is it worth the extra 100 for the resivoir? Wouldn't it be about even, Duals w/ resivoirs, triples w/o resivoirs? Is anyone running a Duracross or Ultracross Rear on their machine? How does it handle? Soak up bumps and jumps better? Well, I gotta get the money first.. back to the ole lawnmower I guess... haha. Thanks for all the help. Later,
