i was wondering if all the rappys have tranny problems or weak links. Ive heard a lot of problems with them is this only with the 01 or with all raptors or which years are good or not?

 

The problem was only in the 01's. I know a lot of 01' Raptor's still on the 01 trannies though. Two that I have in mind are a 686 and a 770. Both still on 01' gears with no problems.

But anything after a 01 is not known to have tranny problems.

 

My '01 wasn't having any tranny probs what so ever but when I decided to build the engine I thought it would be best to have a more reliable tranny so I bought the '02 gears.
