Dieselhead - I liked the Hotcam Stage 2 with a high compression (~13:1?) JE piston, it rips! Are you having any head work done?
Yes, doing it my self as far as opening up the runners on the intake and exhaust, not sure what to do in the combustion chamber. When you guys have your heads done by the pros do they do much work in the chamber area ?

Is this Sam's bike?

I will be going off of some of Sam's notes after he get's his together. I'll want to know what kind of power he has, and just exactly how powerful and fast his Raptor is. But I'm sure it's going to be very very fast.

I hope it's a runner. We're going to a single Lectron carb and a different type of exhaust so I don't know what we're going to get.

Once Sam get's up and running, I will have a ton of questions to make sure I want to do the piston swap. But I'm sure if it's anything like I expect, I will do the swap before summer ends.

Are you having an intake made? And can you run Lectrons on gas? Also, when you say "different" type of exhaust, what exactly do you mean? Also, with that high of comp. are you running the CR head stud bolt kit?

I'm making the intake. We're going to try a Thunderalley custom exhaust. I haven't heard anyone using one of their pipes on a raptor so I don't know what to expect. We'll be putting it together with NEW stock head bolts.
Yes the Lectron can be used with gas. Look thru the Bomb forum about the 46HV and I also heard from a very good source that Chad Reed uses one on his bike stink'in copycat I had one on my YZ250 in the early 80's.
