Can't keep tension on the chain. . any ideas?

I tighten my chain up before a ride but by the end of the day its slack again, anyone have any ideas of what might cause this???

Before when I replaced my swingarm, I noticed that the holes in the axle carrier when the bolts go through to attach it to the swingarm are starting to go out of shape. The used to be round but now seem to be a little oval. I also notice that the rear wheels are a little cocked to one side. Do you think that the carrier could be piviting in the swingarm cause the bolt holes are round?? This would also explain why the chain gets slack because when i tighten it i make it straight again and then after the ride it is back to being bent.

if it is a new chain, or and extrememly old and weak one, it will stretch very quickly. it could also be that u arent tightening everything when u tighten the chain, and as u ride it it loosens it self back up and the chain falls back to its original position
