Will a newer raptor shock fit a 2001? I assume it will, but they look a little different.

Yes, except I think they had to redesign the airbox to accomidate for the piggyback reservoir.

His probably could use freshening up. Its cheaper to get a used or take off stocker than have an old one revalved.
