YFZ Jetting with baffle out & airlid removed
On a stock YFZ when you remove the baffle and take the airbox lid off, how is the stock jetting? I ride at 5000 feet at the dunes so I'm thinking it'll still be safe, but I haven't made any runs this way & pulled the tank or whatever you have to do to get to the plug & read it. Any opinions from you YFZ guys?

Just from observation of the guys I ride with Shady, it seems that when the cork and the lid are removed that everyone that doesn't adjust the carb is running lean on the pilot jet. When you pull the cork, and the box jab the throttle real quickly. If it bogs your lean. If it snaps like normal you should be fine.
Also as far as the plug is concerned, I think its highly over rated. Just throw a very fat/rich main jet in, and incrementally lean it down till it pulls strong on top-end. I like to use the plug as more of a self-assurance. Seeing the right color just makes me a little more satisfied, but I think the most useful/practical method is "seat of the pants" observations.
