Need Tips And Advice For My First Sand Drag Race
If you can start in second and just drop the clutch, thats the way to go. Sit wherever you can get the wheels to barely lift when launching, then when going through the gears sit as far back as possible, unless you are having trouble keeping the front end down. You want the weight on the rear tires all the time. Solid struts can help or hurt your time, it just depends on your setup. If you are not wheelying much they would be ok on the front, but if it comes up alot i would keep shocks, because solid suspension makes it feel like somethings about to break when the front end comes down. Just make as many practice runs as possible, and figure out the best way for you to ride really.
