Default Silver Lake MI, vs. Little Sahara, OK

Is there any comparison? Beaches and wooded trails?. But only 450acres of riding area? The notion of riding a beach dune sounds very cool. I also hear that Silver Lake has some nasty cops and muffler restrictions.

Little Sahara is 1400 acres of "anything goes dunes".

Never been to Silver Lake. Anyone got opinions?

Never been to little sahara, but I do know a thing or two about Silver Lake.

During peak times of the year on the weekends they do get more strict about noise levels. Their voucher system for getting into the dunes is a pain in the rear, and they don't have any wooded trails or beach riding. The closest you can get to the beach is about 100 feet. On weekends the sand gets pretty rough from all the tracks and traffic.

But it is the closest place I have to ride dunes, so I love it anyway.

Sounds like it could be cool if not for the restrictions. I am spoiled by Little Sahara's size and freedom. I just think it would be cool to ride a beach, stop, do some swimming, and ride some more.

Little Sahara rocks. I have been 2 times in less than a year and it is a 10 hour drive for me. The best weekend to go coming up would probably be the weekend before Labor Day they have Sandfest. That is if you want a lot of people to be there and see a lot of cool stuff.
